
Our Complete CDC Approval Package is designed to aid and help our clients achieve legal building and construction work with strict guidelines for their home. Complying Development Certificates are a quicker way of getting approval to build than a Development Certificates (DA), as we use our own Private Certifier to issue and check these guidelines. To achieve a CDC, clients must organise a multitude of inspections and documents and engage with architects, surveyors, engineers etc.
At Sydney Side Homes, we have streamlined and optimised this process for our clients. Our Complete CDC Approval Package includes site surveying, a private certifier, architectural plans and engineered drawings. This is done with our head builder who is the conduit between our clients and the CDC Team. All questions, queries, scheduling, meetings and follow-ups are done through our builder to save time and ease the stress of our clients.

The DA Approval Package also has additional items:
● Pre-lodgement DA check with the local council
● Gathering the following documents that are additional to the CDC documents like statement of environmental effects, owner’s consent, cost estimate reports,
● Submit and complete the online application via NSW portal, upload all relevant documents.
● Tracking and monitoring the status of the application online via the Portal.
As the DA approval process is more extensive than the CDC process, plus dealing directly with the council, this means the timeframes are longer and varied. Standard DA approvals take approx. 3-6 months. However, with our private certifier prepping and communicating directly with the council and online NSW portal, the approvals are quicker, depending on the size and type and zoning requirements or additional information that the council may require.

We have been building homes for over a decade , hence our head builder can provide an estimate cost to build as well as a tailored CDC/DA package cost of each local council area after his first consultation within a week. This is where you can not fake experience.
After the second consultation, each client wil be aware of the fees and costs involved to submit their dream plans for approval, as well as the cost to build.
